Ex England footballer, Rio Ferdinand, and Ex Towie cast member, Kate Wright, tied the knot over the weekend with a golden Turkish beach providing the perfect backdrop for the big day!
Rio Ferdinand said it was an emotional day for him with all three of his children involved in the special ceremony. “I cried as soon as the day started. Seeing Tia walk up the aisle before Kate set me off. It was just so emotional.”
It has been a very challenging few years for Rio Ferdinand after the tragic passing of his first wife, Rebecca Ellison, in 2015. He is now looking forward to the future with his family; “We’ve become a proper family unit now. I’m just so happy we’re all as one.”
It seems it was fate that brought these two lovebirds together. Kate previously shared details of their instant connection “The night I met Rio I knew I was going to marry him. I met him and we just clicked straight away”.
