American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift stopped by a couple’s engagement party to perform for them.
Alex Goldschmidt recently proposed to his boyfriend Ross Girard but before he did he reached out to Taylor Swift to ask if she would surprise his now fiancé by performing her hit ‘King of My Heart,’ a song that is very special to the duo, at their engagement party.
And with a bit of luck and very good connections, the singer said yes!

Alex uploaded a video to his Twitter page that shows Taylor casually strolling out with guitar in hand, much to the surprise of everyone in the room including Ross. The clip shows the man behind the surprise, Alex, saying, “There is one secret that I didn’t trust any of you with and there was a person who’s not here who sort of played a part in all of this. So I would like to welcome, and if you could give a warm welcome to my friend Taylor.”
The clip then goes on to show Taylor explaining to the crowd that the song has a special meaning for the couple before beginning to play. “I’ve been off tour for a while but hopefully it’s still alright,” she said. “This is from Alex. It’s sung by me but it’s from Alex.”
