Taylor Swift Surprised a Couple with a Brilliant Wedding Gift

How amazing is this? Taylor Swift surprised a couple with a brilliant wedding gift—champagne and a hand-written note—for their wedding day after she found out that they were using one of her songs for their first dance. And this isn’t the first time she’s surprised her fans on their wedding day!

Newlyweds Edward McNoble and Margaret McNoble tied the knot on Saturday but were shocked when they received a surprise bottle of Dom Pérignon with a hand-written note reading:

“Margaret and Eddie,

Rumour has it you might be using my song in your wedding celebration which makes me so happy!

Here’s to this amazing day of your continuing love story.

Love, Taylor.”

The couple told US Weekly that:

“When we got to the wedding venue, they told us, ‘There [is] a special gift upstairs for you from a very special person.’”

Epic! And the couple went on to not only enjoy their first dance to Taylor’s 2008 hit Love Story, but they also walked out at their wedding reception (in East Meadow, New York) to Taylor’s song “Welcome to New York”, from her album 1989.

According to US Magazine, one source says Taylor would have tried to make it to the wedding too, but she was in L.A. What an absolute gem!

And this isn’t the first time Taylor has sent wedding gifts to fans either—only a few months ago she sent a beautiful bouquet of flowers to highschool sweethearts Alexas Gonzales and Brittany Lewis when she found out that Love Story had played a part in their proposal.

Lexi wrote of Brittany and their proposal on their wedding website that:

“She ended her speech with the best line of all time. As she got down on one knee she said…’So I talked to your dad, now it’s time to pick out a white dress…will you marry me?'”

Taylor’s note to the couple read:

“Lexi & Brittany, You have no idea how honoured I am that ‘Love Story’ has been such a big part of your beautiful love story.

I’m absolutely thrilled that Lexi said YES!

Have the most magical wedding day and hopefully I can meet you both soon! Love, Taylor.”

Afterwards, Lexi said that “Our song has always been ‘Love Story’ by Taylor Swift so if you know the song you can see how adorable her saying that was!”

Furthermore, back in June 2016 Taylor famously crashed the big day of fans Kenya Smith and Max Singer in New Jersey to perform Blank Space as the newlyweds danced. Then she completed the amazing gift with a personalised painting with Blank Space lyrics, “So it’s gonna be forever”, with the date.
