Hello! magazine has revealed that Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews married in a secret Scottish wedding in June, and designer Paul Costello has shared the design process of Vogue’s gorgeous wedding dress. This wasn’t the only secret wedding of the summer either!
Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews married in a secret wedding in June, but they haven’t released any photos until now. Hello! magazine shared the photos and an exclusive interview with the couple, where they revealed that they married in a beautiful intimate wedding ceremony on Spencer’s family’s 30,000-acre Glen Affric estate. They exchanged their vows on the banks of a Scottish loch in a stunning outdoor wedding ceremony.
Vogue called the day “the best of her life”, and Spencer told Hello! that, “It has gone down by many as the best wedding they’ve ever been to. It was a family affair in the middle of nowhere and it felt very secluded. We were surrounded by the people we love.”
Made in Chelsea star Spencer made a dapper groom in a bespoke, midnight blue three-piece suit made by renowned tailor Tony Lutwyche, and the look was finished with a charming thistle boutonnière in the lapel. Vogue, who was seven months pregnant at the time, wore a bespoke Paul Costello gown—a stunning, long sleeved silk wedding dress with a deep V-neck.
Designer Paul Costello has shared photos of the design process, including sketches of the dress, and revealed that it took only seven days to create and complete it. Vogue and Spencer are expecting their first child in just a matter of weeks, and Paul explained that Vogue’s dress was made to accommodate her growing baby bump.
“She was, as always, a joy to work with,” he wrote on Instagram. “The dress was completed in just 7 days so as to accommodate her fast growing baby bump, so it was a full team effort. She’s a beautiful woman, a credit to her generation and to Ireland. Spencer Matthews you’re a lucky man.”

During the interview with Hello!, Spencer described the wedding day as “dreamlike”.
“At the time it was so wonderful but almost dreamlike. It took a little while to sink in, but I certainly feel married, settled, and happy. Everything has fallen into place. As we’ve said before we are best friends, we love being together, so it does feel just perfect. We’re delighted. I can’t imagine life without Vogue at this point. People say, what’s changed? What’s different? But it’s just part of growing up, meeting your soul mate and moving on with life.”
