We’re continuing our autumn theme this week with today’s DIY mini pumpkin treats. With autumn on our door step and Halloween just around the corner what better way to bring them both to your table than with our Autumn Pumpkin Favours tutorial.
The Supplies
You’ll need:
- Miniature Glass Bell Jar With White Fluted Base
- Mini white pumpkin
- Ice cream scoop
- Sharp knife
- Shears
- Baby’s breath
Stylist tip: You will want to create your pumpkin treats no more than two days in advance as vegetables will colour after a few days.
The Instructions
Step 1: Using the knife score a round opening at the top of your pumpkin to create a lid, then remove it carefully.
Step 2: Using the ice cream scoop, gently scoop out all the seeds, you want to make sure you avoid damaging the pumpkin in the process.
Step 3 Cut your baby’s breath down to size and place it inside the pumpkin. You will want to do this step the day before or on the day it self. We used baby’s breath because of it’ ability to keep once taken out of water for long periods of time. Feel free to use any flower you want, just remember you will need to keep the hydrated; we would recommend using a small piece of floral foam instead of just water as this will leak.
Step 4 To give your pumpkin an added touch of elegance, place it inside our mini glass bell jar. Not only will it look a billion dollars, it will also double up as a pretty keepsake.
The final look
We couldn’t resist a group shot for added cuteness!
