The wedding is still over a year away, but we’re already having a great time looking into honeymoons. At the moment we’re thinking that we’ll stay in Europe and have picked up brochures on Italy. We’ve found a couple of beautiful hotels that look like good honeymoon material. RT has got it in his head that he wants to hotel to be on a cliff side, don’t ask me why but he is adamant that this is the perfect venue for a honeymoon.
There is one place I would recommend for anyone who is looking for a honeymoon further a field and that’s a hotel in The Gambia called Coconut Residence. RT and I have just got back from a holiday there and it is perfect. The hotel itself is tiny ‐ only 16 rooms all done beautifully ‐ the whole hotel is. The food is superb and all fresh from their own gardens, the service makes you feel like royalty, nothing is too much trouble and everything is done to make your stay as perfect as possible.
We’re in the middle of planning our engagement party ‐ a little belated I know but we’ve decided to have a bbq at Mum and Paul’s and want to have it on June 2nd that will be exactly a year to the day until our wedding. Things as per usual have got out of hand and it’s now looking like we’ll have about 70 guests. Still fingers crossed that the sun will shine and no‐one gets food poisoning from undercooked bbq food.
Apart from that we’ve not done much else on the wedding. I’ve tried on a few more dresses and have a pretty good idea of what I’d like. I’ve seen a particular designer on the confetti dress search whose dresses I love ‐ I haven’t tried any of them on yet. Right now I’m enjoying the whole process so much that I’m not too worried if it takes a while longer to find the perfect dress.
We’re going to Mum and Paul’s for Easter so no doubt we’ll discuss arrangements then, right now though the whole process is pretty stress free.
