It’s still over 11 months to go but I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am about everything. My mum was down in London last night as RT was away and I was all for sorting out the invitations ‐ though she thought that might be going a bit far at this early stage. A friend of mine is getting married on Saturday and said she is really going to miss all the build up over the last few months once it is all over. I can see what she means I’m always thinking of little ideas to incorporate into the day and I’m sure that RT and I have at least one discussion each day about some aspect of it.
What is adding to all the excitement is that he booked the honeymoon yesterday!!! We have had so much fun planning it ‐ it is going to be amazing, we’re leaving on the Sunday after the wedding for 2 weeks in the Seychelles ‐ Perfect. We’ll have just over the week in one hotel and then move for the remainder to a tiny island with just a little hotel on it ‐ nothing else. The 24 “rooms” are all freestanding cottages ‐ each has a shower outside so that you can bathe under the stars ‐ very romantic. Now that we are leaving on the Sunday it means that we’ll leave all our guests at the bbq at Mum and Paul’s house which should be fun ‐ I’m going to practise throwing my bouquet now so that I get the perfect shot on the day! I can’t wait it is going to be the best holiday ever and the perfect end to a perfect weekend.
I had another look last night at the Confetti wedding list brochure, there is so much lovely stuff in there, perfect for us ‐ we’ve got all the basics but it’s the special items which are so lovely. I really like the idea in there of the flower delivery ‐ one of your guests can arrange for flowers ‐ in your wedding colours ‐ to be delivered to you each month for six months ‐ we’ll definitely have that on our list.
Speaking of flowers RT and I went up to Oxford the other week to see Mum and Paul. Whilst RT and Paul played golf Mum and I went to the hotel to have a think about colour schemes and to really get a feel for the place so that we can visualise all the things we are planning. We think we have a pretty good idea of what we want and where ‐ I know I’m biased but I think it is going to be absolutely stunning. We also looked at other hotels in the area for our guests to stay at ‐ the hotel has just 21 rooms so obviously that won’t be enough. We’ve come up with 2/3 options and will send the details to people so that they can decide what they want to do.
We’re going to Colorado on Saturday to see RT’s parents. It should be fun, we’ll spend the first part of the week with his Mum and the second with his Dad, it’ll be a perfect opportunity to talk them through our plans and show them brochures of the hotel etc. Unfortunately RT has to stay out there on business for another week after I come back, his travelling is the only thing wrong in our lives at the moment. He is doing so much of it and when he is in the country works such long hours that we don’t get to spend nearly as much time together as I’d like. It’s funny we’ve been together nearly 2 years ‐ lived together for 6 months and I still can’t get enough of him. I don’t think it is possible to love him any more than I do I really feel the luckiest girl in the world to be spending the rest of my life with him
