How did your partner (or you) propose?
The day he proposed was on our 1 year together anniversary, and the day before he completely surprised me with a trip to Venice! I was clueless as to what was happening until we pulled into the airport car park after leaving his Mums to make our way to what I thought would be home. The actual proposal again completely surprised me, we had spent the day wandering around Venice site‐seeing and riding Gondolas, then in the evening he took for a meal in a cute romantic resturant where we had champagne, and leaving there he bought me dozens of roses! It then got to 10:55 pm, we were in St Marks Square surrounded by christmas lights and as I was just taking a look around, I turned back to Matt to find him down on one knee holding up a gorgeous diamond ring. I, of course, said Yes, and then as if it couldn’t get any more perfect, the clock began to chime as it struck 11pm!
Who did you share the news of your engagement with first?
Parents and best friends ‐ although my Dad already knew as Matt had asked for his permission before hand!

Platinum princess cut diamond ‐ it’s so sparkly!
Did you help choose the ring?
Nope. He chose it all by himself and made the perfect choice… It was even a perfect fit!
Did you have an engagement party?
No.. not yet anyway. We may have one still though as a a good starting point for all of our parents and friends to meet.
When do you plan to marry?
29th August 2008 ‐ nearly 2 years after getting engaged but we needed that much time to save up!
What are you looking forward to the most about planning a wedding?
The end result and it being the most perfect day created by us, for us. And of course the dress shopping!
