How did your partner (or you) propose?
It was my birthday and we have gone to a five star luxury hotel in Egypt. I knew something was going on and had such a knot in my tummy! The day was spent sunbathing and swimming in the most beautiful surroundings. At about 4, I went off to the fantastic spa for a manicure and pedicure and to have my hair done for my birthday evening. I knew a private dinner had been organised in the Arabian tent overlooking the Red Sea, but didn’t realise to what extent! After the spa treatment, I went back to the room, and the bed had been scattered in rose petals (I was then even MORE suspicious and my tummy was full of butterflies!) I got ready and felt a million dollars. At about 19.20 there was a knock at the door and a private club car was there to take us through the resort and down to the beach. Upon arrival at the Arabian tent, candles were placed down every step and you could hear the rushing of the sea. To top it off (and he swears he didn’t know!) there was an African band to greet me ‐ which was amazing, if not somewhat embarrassing! We have a private waiter to serve our 5 course meal and after the waiter had disappeared after the first starters (!) Damian presented me with the most amazing ring and asked me to be his wife! I couldn’t at first take it in ‐ and then he told me he had asked my dad ‐ and then, yes ‐ you guessed it, the tears started! Oh, and of course I said YES! He had put so much thought into everything, and it was simply perfect.
