Chris and Megan’s fairy tale and fireworks wedding was held at the beautiful, country estate Orchardleigh House in Somerset on the 16th of October 2016, the big day was photographed by the amazing Emma-Jane Photography.
Getting ready
Megan and her bridesmaids spent the morning of the big day getting their hair and makeup done in matching kimonos before Megan put on her gorgeous lace gown with precise appliquéd details running from the bottom of the train to the top of the stunning illusion neck line. With a little help from her bridal party Megan’s transformation from fiancée to beautiful bride was complete.
The church ceremony
Chris and Megan’s ceremony took place in St. Mary’s Church, located in the heart of Orchardleigh Estate. The picturesque church is surrounded by a moat meaning there is no electricity in the church, so the stunning ceremony was performed by romantic candle light. The traditional style of this church gave a wonderful fairy tale feeling to the ceremony that was simply magical.
Inspirational wedding photos
Both Orchardleigh House and its surrounding grounds scream elegance and beauty allowing Emma-Jane to take the most incredible shots against a perfect background. The 13th century country estate is nestled in 500 acres of Somerset’s finest parkland and lakes, giving Chris and Megan a truly exclusive wedding day where they could to enjoy the unforgettable day like royalty.
When the wedding day turned into the wedding night Orchardleigh House takes on a new bewitching beauty with an atmosphere of serenity and elegance. Emma-Jane took this calm tranquil night and created some strikingly unique pictures with the use of fireworks and her own expertise with smoke flares. The bright lights cut through the darkness illuminating Chris and Megan in dramatic shots that they can treasure forever.
