How and when did you meet?

We met 2 1/2 years ago in a pub.

How old are you both?
I’m 30 and Ade’s 33.

Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?
We were in bed about four months after we met. He was on bended knee though.

Did you have hen and stag celebrations? If so, what did you do?
Fab night out with all my mates and he had a night away with his. Loads of laughs and drinks.

How did your groom help with the wedding planning?
I found things and showed or told him and he agreed. Worked perfectly. We made all stationery together

Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?
I was on the site permanently-bit obsessed. Great tips, great ideas. Cafe was brilliant.

Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?
Bought some great things from the website. The petals were amazing. They didn’t discolour and looked fresh.

Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it
The first dress I saw in a magazine was my dream dress. Ian Stuart, Chantal from Alison Jayne, Swansea. I want to wear it every day still. His dresses are so divine.

Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?
I had two bridesmaids and three flower girls.

Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?
His best friend was the best man and ushers were our son, his brother and a cousin of my hubby.

Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?
A beautiful church ceremony.

Where did you hold your ceremony?
Felinfoel Church in Llanelli, South Wales.

Where did you hold your reception?
In a fab hotel near our home called the Diplomat Hotel.

Did you have any special wedding transport?
We had a cream Daimler limo for flower girls and bridesmaids and a cream Bedford for us.

How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?
We had 90 day guests and an extra 90 in the evening.

Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?
We had cream and gold buttermilk throughout the wedding with some natural elements in as well.

How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?
We had cream favour boxes, gold confetti, cream petals and feathers. We had slate centerpieces and name plates. Trivia boxes and cameras and butterflies all in cream and gold.

Did you give your guests favours?
Yes. Gold heart chocolates in cream favour boxes.

Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?
We had a fab florist called Barrie Hughes. We had cream and buttermilk roses, cream gerberas, Singapore lilies and freesias. We also had straw, bear grass and butterflies in them. My bouquet was long and loose while the flower girl’s had wicker cones with flowers in. Everything looked brilliant.

What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?
We had traditional veg soup, roast chicken and gateaux

What did you choose for your wedding cake, and who made it?
Someone told me about a lady who lives close who works from home. She made us a beautiful four tier cake with, “to have, to hold, to love, to cherish” written on it. One statement was on each tier.

Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?
Only our daughter, my brother and the best man who are all mad as hatters and then a disco.

Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?
AS we already lived together, we asked for vouchers or money (as a deposit for a house).

Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?
We stayed at the reception venue on the night and had a couple of nights by the coast as we couldn’t afford a honeymoon.

What was your most memorable moment of the day?
I personally found every moment memorable for different reasons. From the time I got up until I closed my eyes at night.

Did you experience any ‘nightmare’ moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?
We were so lucky there was nothing. Everything went perfectly.

Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?
Nothing I would do differently. My only advice would be: don’t stress and savour every moment as it goes to quickly.
