How did your partner (or you) propose?
I had been travelling for 3 months all around America. The day I left was the hardest day ever, missing him was going to kill me but that was the wonderful thing ‐ he never once asked me not to go as he knew it was something I had always wanted to do. We had been together five years and knew we would fine apart from missing each other like crazy. Two days after I got back Lloyd announced he was going to cook me a meal (the first in 5 years) and banished me from my parents house where he intended to cook. I spent the evening making myself look nice awaiting his phone call to return home. On arrival I saw the driveway lined with solar tea lights as it was raining, an umbrella, a lantern and a path way of messages in bottles leading to the garden. There, was a marquee set up, surrounded by fairy lights and millions of rose petal, but still no Lloyd. At the end of the messages was the most amazing book I had ever seen tied in a giant pink bow with one big bottle attached. The book was full of pictures of us, things he loved about me, lyrics to ‘our song’ and a poem, leading to me opening the last bottle saying “will you marry me”! then Lloyd emerged holding the most beautiful marquise cut diamond ring. It was the most romantic thing I could ever had imagined!

Our parents who were all waiting for us.

A diamond encrusted band with a 1.5 carat marquise cut diamond in the centre!

No ‐ it was all down to him.
Will your partner wear an engagement ring as well?
No, just a wedding band.
Did you have a particular theme for your party?
Christmas as it’s our favourite time of year.
