How did your partner (or you) propose?
We went to visit Winter Wonderland in Cardiff and went on the huge ferris wheel called the Admiral Eye with our friend Paul. It was cold, windy and raining! I was busy taking pics of the view and as I turned back around, there was Ian sat there with a gorgeous ring and simply said, ‘Will you marry me?’
Who did you share the news of your engagement with first?
Well we were on the ferris wheel with Ian’s best friend Paul, so he was the first to know, and then I phoned my best friend and told her.
Describe your ring.
It looks more like an eternity ring than an enggement ring, but it’s a gorgeous silver band with a row of pink jewels in it.
Did you help choose the ring?
No, it was a total surprise, we had been shopping in Cardiff that afternoon and Ian didn’t want to go in a particular shop that I wanted to go in, as I thought he was being mean, I stropped off into the shop while he went to buy the ring!!!
Will your partner wear an engagement ring as well?
He has just informed me that yes, he would like an engagement ring, so it looks like I’m off shopping tomorrow to buy one!!!
Did you have an engagement party?
No, we won’t be having a party, we are going to go for a meal with close family and friends to celebrate.

When do you plan to marry?
We have set the date for 24th June 2010 and are going to do it in Bristol Zoo as Ian absolutely adores animals and we wanted somewhere different, fun and exciting!
What are you looking forward to the most about planning a wedding?
We are going to make a lot of things ourselves, like invitations and decorations etc. I may even make my own dress! We are also going to have a jungle theme, so getting the decorations for that should be a lot of fun!!!
