Pre-wedding engagement shoots are growing in popularity and after this week’s real engagement you’re going to see why. Kim and Dan did exactly what an engagement shoot is all about, and captured their love for one another before the big day. They picked Borough Market as the background, the mix of cultures and contrast in colours makes the market the ideal location for the shoot. We highly recommend capturing all the moments you spend together being you! Remember, the beautiful images will also make for perfect save the date cards. We hope this week’s urban real engagement inspires you all to get snapping and to celebrate your engagement!
We’re Engaged
It’s so exciting! Dan came home early from work on my birthday, I knew he was cooking me dinner and thought he would buy me the handbag I hinted at, but actually came home to a proposal. Was it a surprise? Yes very much so. He bought me a beautiful white gold diamond square cluster ring. To celebrate we called our parents and close friends and had some champagne at home.
The Photographer
We picked Paola from Paola De Paola Photography. Our shoot was in Borough Market and it was very relaxed and enjoyable. Paola was great at putting us at ease. We wanted a London theme and we also wanted to try and capture an ordinary weekend.
The Big Day
Our wedding will be in September 2015, our ceremony will be at St Pauls Church in Covent Garden and the reception is booked at a warehouse near Brixton Village. We wanted a London theme as that is where we met and live and work. I have 3 bridesmaids, and we are going for a soft vintage look. After the big day we’ll be flying to San Francisco for our honeymoon.
Congratulations, Kim & Dan!
