Magnificent Lady Chapel at Westminster Abbey saw the marriage of Kristina Pryadko and Max Baker on 22nd April 2017. The grandeur of the wedding at Westminster Abbey and the quirky contemporary style of the couple and their reception at Heist Bank, London, was captured by the award-winning international creative wedding photographer Emma Jane Photography.
Steeped in more than a thousand years of history, the sheer romance of Westminster Abbey with its spectacular cloisters, fan-vaulted roof and stained glass windows provided a truly breath-taking backdrop for their marriage ceremony.
Before the ceremony
Kristina and her bridesmaids got ready in style before the ceremony, with special personalised slippers made for each, a lovely keepsake for them that provided a great photo opportunity.
Wedding at Westminster Abbey
Arriving at Westminster Abbey in a classic VW campervan is a break with tradition for the venue that has seen the crowning of kings and queens, royal weddings and christenings! Westminster Abbey is said to be one of the most important Gothic buildings in the whole country and conducts only royal weddings and weddings for family members of those knighted by Her Majesty the Queen.
The Reception
The uber cool wedding reception was held at Heist Bank, the ‘pizza and beer playground for adults’ in Paddington. The wedding planner and stylist was Sarah Kirby at Something White, wedding flowers were by Emma Soulsby at Ladybird Flowers.
