How and when did you meet?
We met through work. We were both in senior management back in April 2005.

How old are you both?
32 and 38.

Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?
He proposed at home just six months after we got together.

Did you have hen and stag celebrations? If so, what did you do?
I had a small hen day at a local health spa. Justin went for a few drinks with friends and then we all met up in the evening for a group dinner.

How did your groom help with the wedding planning?
He was excellent, although he left most of it to me.

Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?
I was a regular visitor of the forums in particular. The website is amazing and a real must for any bride to be.

Do you have a confetti web page?
No.

Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?
Yes, online.

Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it
I wore a Mon Cherie, Allie Renee dress. Unusual in the fact that the bodice was apple green, with a beautiful mocha skirt.

Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?
I had two friends and my husband’s eldest daughter. They wore stunning Isabella Lou Lou dresses in apple green.

Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?
All wore frock coats with tails. The best man was a good friend, and ushers were his former step father and half brother.

Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?
Civil.

Where did you hold your ceremony?
Sudeley Castle, Gloucestershire in the library which is part of the family’s private residence.

Where did you hold your reception?
At the castle in their banquet hall.

Did you have any special wedding transport?
Horse and Carriage!

How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?
54 to the day and another 15 to the evening.

Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?
Oh yes, apple green and calla lily.

How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?
I used apple green table runners, napkins and chair sashes which I had made.

Did you give your guests favours?
Only the ladies. They had lovely glass filled with calla lily candles.

Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?
My bouquet and the bridesmaids had calla lilies. The table flowers were four feet high spectacular displays of lilies, English green tipped roses, green tipped hydrangea heads and grasses.

What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?
No, we very carefully chose a caterer as we wanted something a little different. We had a five course wedding breakfast consisting of: Pre-starter – butternut squash veloute, with creme fraiche. Starter – handmade ravioli filled with baby spinach and ricotta, with parmesan shavings and basil crisps.. Main – wild fillet of sea bass stuffed with pesto, with a citrus and pine nut crust and served with a summer salad, and roasted baby new potatoes. Dessert – assiette of strawberry and chocolate coffee, tea, herbal teas and homemade chocolate truffles.

What did you choose for your wedding cake, and who made it?
A square white chocolate straw cake, three tiered, decorated with sugared calla lilies.

Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?
We had a string quartet for the ceremony and drinks reception, a caricaturist, a children’s entertainer, and a band in the evening who were amazing.

Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?
Yes, with Wrapit.

Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?
We spent our first night at home, as we live in the same village where we got married. We went to the Maldives for 14 nights and Dubai for 3 nights. We booked with Maldives Direct who we have used before.

What was your most memorable moment of the day?
Seeing Justin waiting for me when I arrived for the ceremony.

Did you experience any ‘nightmare’ moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?
None, it all went perfectly.

Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?
So much advice I could give, but wouldn’t have done anything differently. It was absolutely perfect.
