My story is truly romantic, I met my fiancée in a club. He is from South Africa and was her travelling working behind the bar, in the K Bar in Wimbledon.
My friend and I spent the whole night just chatting by his bar, catching his eye all night and that was it I went home. (Since then I have found out, he dropped a bottle of vodka on his foot when I walked in, her was in a state of shock.
I couldn’t wait to go back the following week, I had told my other friends all about him. So the next week I went with my best friend. Pointed him out to her and. We say each other across the room this time, and it was instant attraction again. He thought I wouldn’t give him a second thought and I thought he looked like a real crazy popular guy who wouldn’t be that interested in me. My best friend Caroline introduced herself to him and told him she likes you that girl over there, and I have noticed you can’t take your eyes of her. Speak to her. He couldn’t believe I was interested and I was in shock. I waited until the end of the evening and we spent some time talking and getting to know each. We instantly hit it off. We had both just come out of long term relationships but couldn’t help ourselves. We where already too involved. The first kiss happened in his flat that he shared with his mates it was just what I would have expected. Arrrhhh The months went by and he declared undying love for me, I was scared and not too sure if this was too good to be true. I finally decided to go with it and ended up spending 7 months in South Africa with him only 8 months after we met. I met the whole family and he continued telling people he was going to marry me. It was so romantic.
We came back after 7 months and started our lives together, rented a house. For the first time was living together, finally. Then 3 months later he took me in the K bar Wimbledon, it was closed and he said the old staff wanted to say hello. He took me upstairs it was dark and empty. He got down on one knee and we both burst into tears, the club had such wonderful memories for us and we had already been through so much together. I said yes immediately and we are both having great fun planning the wedding for next August.
My advice is to take chances in life; it’s the only way to live.
