Pete and I are travelling around Australia at the moment, where I’m writing this………. We went to Ayers Rock for the weekend on our 6th anniversary. We went for a dinner which was in the desert as the sun was setting over Ayers Rock, it was a very special place as it was all outside, and waiters rushed around filling up our glasses all the time with Champange! So we were slightly wobbly and went for a little walk in the desert where Pete got down on one knee!
It was incredible, I was surprised (but I’d been hoping!). He’d also written a letter to my parents in the UK asking permission. It made my mum cry! He gave me a little ring he had bought, but when we got back to Sydney we had a real one made to the same style. Its perfect!
All our friends are so happy and excited. Its lovely to be on a little ‘engagement honeymoon’ but we’re dying to celebrate with everyone when we get home next May!!
I’m also desperate to start planning the wedding but I’ll have to wait a few months till I get home. This website is perfect for me to start getting ideas whilst I’m away!
