A group of us went on a holiday to Romania for a week. Steve had been dropping a few hints about engagement, but even though I’d picked up on these, I had no idea what lay ahead – although the rest of the group knew because he’d had to get their co-operation in case they gave away the secret.On 16 February, Steve suggested going to the top of the mountain that afternoon to have a look, as I hadn’t been up there. Perfect setting…fantastic sunny day (in fact, the best Romania had seen for a long time) and a view for miles across the mountains. Steve had even put on a suit for the occasion!! He told me to look at the view and take pics and then he turned me round, took hold of my hand, got down on one knee and popped the question…and I said, yes. We had champers to top off the occasion and cornered a couple to take our photo to capture the moment. I couldn’t have asked for more…
