I was 25 (and still am) and he was 32 (and still is)

Stephen proposed to me!
How did your partner (or you) propose?
We took a trip to our favourite holiday town to celebrate Valentine’s day. We checked into our hotel then took a drive to our favourite spot because the views of the local mountains and the sea are beautiful. The sun was setting and we parked the car and got out to take some pictures. Stephen came over to me and asked me “is this your favourite place in the whole world?”, I said “yes”. he then asked me “would anything make it better at all?”, i said “not possible”, he then pulled a ring box out of his pocket and asked me “would this make it better” then opened the box and inside was the most beautiful ring. I said yes then proceeded to cry for the next 10 minutes out of pure happiness!!
Who did you share the news of your engagement with first?
I phoned my dad and told him, then cried down the phone as well!!
Describe your ring.
Its beautiful!! Its an 18 carat white gold band that narrows towards my square cut diamond which is attached to the ring inside 4 claws.
Did you help choose the ring?
Stephen had an idea of the type of ring i like (and having emailed him pictures of rings I like might have also helped lol) I gave him my ring size as well because although my fingers look big, they’re actually not!
Will your partner wear an engagement ring as well?
I would love to buy him a little something to wear but he’s not a big jewelery wearer, it will be hard enough getting him to wear a wedding band when it comes to the time!!!
Did you have an engagement party?
We actually haven’t discussed this yet and its only been a week since we became engaged, but no doubt our friends and family will be wanting to help us celebrate!!
If so, where was it held?
If and when we do hold a party I would ideally like 2, one for our friends, which will be at our apartment, and I would like a nice family meal at a local hotel to celebrate with our families together.

When do you plan to marry?
We don’t plan to set a date until the summer
What are you looking forward to the most about planning a wedding?
Overcoming the urge to be a bridezilla!!
