Confetti.co.uk is pleased to offer a wedding poetry writing competition! The competition will award a prize of an iPad mini to the writer of the best poem suitable for being read aloud at a wedding. Each entrant is asked to submit no more than one poem, in any style, on any subject, but it must be suitable for a wedding. An unspecified selection of poems from runners up may be included in a digital wedding poetry anthology, including the first place poem. The author of the first place poem will also receive a new iPad mini. Terms and Conditions
The Wedding Poetry Writing Competition is organised by Confetti Celebrations Ltd (Confetti.co.uk). The competition is open to anyone aged 16 or over. There is no upper age limit for entry. The deadline for entries is 11.59pm (UK time) on Friday 27th November 2015. Entries received after this deadline will not be considered. Entrants must submit a poem suitable for being read aloud at a wedding. Entrants may not submit more than one poem. Submissions can be in any style, any length and on any subject. Each entrant is expected to submit only their own work.All entries must be sent in the body of an email to [email protected]. Entries sent as attachments will not be opened and will not be considered for prizes. All entries will be assigned an ID number and made anonymous upon receipt. Judges will not be privy to entrants’ names during the reading and judging processes. Names will be reattributed to entries only after the winners have been decided. Entries submitted to the competition may be withdrawn from the competition by entrants by notification in writing. Amendments cannot be made to entries after they have been submitted; poems cannot be amended, corrected or substituted. Confetti.co.uk reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has breached any of these rules or made a false declaration during submission. Confetti.co.uk cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by an entrant entering the competition. Confetti.co.uk will act in accordance with current UK data protection legislation in relation to your personal data. Confetti.co.uk reserves the right to amend these rules where it is deemed necessary to do so or where circumstances are beyond Confetti.co.uk’s control. Any changes to the rules will be posted on the Wedding Poetry Writing Competition page on the Confetti.co.uk website. Submission of any entry will be deemed to imply unqualified acceptance of the competition’s rules. In the event of any dispute regarding these rules or any other matter relating to the competition, the decision of Confetti.co.uk shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
