Lake District Wedding Venue
Situated in a scenic little village close to Cumbria, you can hold both your ceremony and reception at this stunning venue that is ideal for weddings with a rustic country theme. There are also two stunning churches within half a mile should you choose to have a religious ceremony, one being the thirteenth century St. Michael’s Church overlooking Askham Hall and the River Lowther, with views of Lowther Castle. Civil ceremonies can be held at Askham Hall, either inside or outside in the private gardens.
Rustic Country Wedding
Bank Barn is a beautiful grade II listed building that has been converted into a sizeable first class wedding venue. Should you choose to hire it for your wedding, Askham Hall allow you to decorate the barn exactly as you wish. In order to maintain its authenticity, the barn has kept its original oak beams and bare stone walls, and added large glass windows to create a unique and rustic feel for the perfect country wedding. Intimate and luxurious, the venue boasts 15 bedrooms, a wedding barn, outdoor pavilion and recently refurbished Medieval Hall; it even has a spa and outdoor pool.
Local Organic Produce
Much of the food served at Askham Hall is home-grown and the menu is therefore seasonal, as the they grow, source and preserve the produce from the gardens and surrounding farms and woodland. You can take a stroll through the beautiful gardens to enjoy views of the River Lowther and visit the animals. The surrounding area is also a haven for red squirrels, rabbits, badgers and pheasants.
