Zesty oranges and lemons are brilliant to give splashes of colour and smells, both in your table arrangements and mixed in with your flowers. Even baskets of local fruit and lime green foliage work well together.
Little Details
It is the smaller details that can make all the difference. It is a nice touch to find out what the local area may be famous for. Are they producers of any special goods? A vineyard, for example? Lace makers? Ceramics? Fruit growers? Your guests will appreciate seeing some of these local elements perhaps in your décor, giving them an experience of the flavor and culture of the area. It is a nice idea to include flowers or fruit in your table settings, such as in the napkin rings. Tea lights in glass jars and terracotta plant pots placed randomly always look good. The sandstone walls provide an ideal background, against which bright coloured flowers stand out beautifully. It is advised in the very hot months to avoid flowers which do not cope very well with the heat.
