The home of the Wynne Bankes family for over 200 years, Soughton Hall combines the atmosphere of a cherished family home with the luxury of a boutique country retreat – a perfect setting for exclusive use weddings, our speciality.
The hall was lovingly restored back in 1820 by Sir Charles Barry, known famously for his work on the Houses of Parliament and Highclere Castle, known as Downton Abbey. More recently it was named as the only North Wales finalist in the Best Hotel Interiors category at the Laterooms.com Simply The Guest Awards 2017.
Soughton Hall is approached down a sweeping 300 year old lime tree avenue which cannot fail to impress. The Hall is set in 10 acres and is surrounded by both formal gardens and places for quiet reflection, all of which are perfect for stunning wedding photographs. Our secret garden at the front of the house, provides a beautiful setting for drinks receptions and a great space for our Jacques of London traditional garden games!
