A wedding or party ‘theme’ is simply a certain style choice for your day that you then reflect in your choice of invitations, dress code, decorations, and music… in fact, any or all aspects of your day! But how do you choose a theme? Here’s a guide for you, and some great ideas for a stylish wedding theme to impress your guests.

Consider your venue
Lots of things can give you inspiration for your wedding theme and your wedding venue is a great place to start. Marrying in a country barn would be a great place to have a rustic‐style theme to your wedding and decorations, while a stately home would look great with a more glamorous theme for example.
Consider your interests
You could also think about choosing a theme based on your personalities or shared interests as a couple ‐ a love of film, places you have visited, a favourite sport, even or music that you both love can spark the idea for a theme.

BUTTERFLIES
Butterflies make a fabulous and very popular wedding theme choice as they can add colour, glitter, and romance to your day.
They give a delicate feel to any celebration and you can use them as much or as little as you want to give your day a magical look.

JEWELS
Jewels make a wedding special and if you take a look at our inspiration gallery, you’ll see we have a huge variety of them for you to choose from.
Try adding crystals to your stationery – mini hearts and stars look lovely, or choose crystal flowers for extra romance.
You could also tie crystal bead embellished wire around your napkins or wine glasses, or add them to your bouquet for extra sparkle.

Pearls are a great choice for a wedding theme because their creamy look makes everything look super‐luxurious, just take a look at our inspiration gallery and we are sure you’ll agree.

FLOWERS
Flowers are used to decorate the church or civil venue, to dress the tables at the reception, and are carried or worn by all the main players in the wedding party. It’s hard to imagine a wedding at all where flowers don’t play a major part, so why not make them your theme for the day?
