Walton Castle is an unusual Grade II- listed castle on a hill, set in four and a half acres of private grounds in Clevedon, North Somerset, a pretty Victorian seaside town. You may recognise the seafront in Clevedon, with its original pier and ornamental gardens as the setting of several films and the TV show Broadchurch. The nearby location gives the added option of a gorgeous sea-view backdrop for your wedding photos.

The venue is extremely versatile and ideal for large weddings of up to 250 guests or smaller, more intimate weddings. There are three double bedrooms in the main keep and a further five double rooms set in the surrounding turrets of the castle, each uniquely styled and all with their own en-suite bathrooms.
As an exclusive venue, it becomes your own blank canvas as, unlike many other wedding venues, you are able to bring in all the various elements you need, from your choice of caterers to your own drinks – with no corkage fee. They do offer in-house catering if you prefer and can also recommend several excellent local businesses they have worked with on a number of occasions, from wedding stylists to DJs.
The venue is registered for civil ceremonies in a choice of three different areas, either outside or within one of the round turret rooms circling the central keep. There is space for a marquee and the castle even has its own indoor heated swimming pool, and pool table in an underground den.
There is no other venue like this in the region, offering so much flexibility in such impressive surroundings. And as it’s completely exclusive you know your wedding will be closed off from the outside world and completely private for your celebration. Walton Castle has to be seen to be believed.
